The kids of russell need more than just a swing set at the front of the island.

With so many young families moving to the bay islands it’s important to have facilities that encourage outdoor play and connection with other families.

the island lacks sports areas and youth have no easy access to physical outlets. as a youth myself, who grew up skating around brisbanes skate parks, the community that gets created by these parks is amazing and incredibly supportive. not only that but new people moving here will have more incentive to do so.

Lets bring this back to life. I have been looking into how we can get a recreational area including skate park on the island and would be interested in talking to anyone else that is interested in moving forward with this.

Skate park on Russell would be amazing. We need a bowl, box jump, half pipe and rails for skating, bmx, and scooters. Dirt jumps for bonus points.
