the island lacks sports areas and youth have no easy access to physical outlets. as a youth myself, who grew up skating around brisbanes skate parks, the community that gets created by these parks is amazing and incredibly supportive. not only that but new people moving here will have more incentive to do so.

Skate park on Russell would be amazing. We need a bowl, box jump, half pipe and rails for skating, bmx, and scooters. Dirt jumps for bonus points.
