We the undersigned strongly disagree with Nottinghamshire County Council's plan to turn off street lighting in Worksop North Electoral Division. The plan for this switch off is a false economy. The relatively modest amount of savings will surely be out weighed by the risk of serious accidents and the wellbeing of residents; the perceived risks far out weigh any advantage. We also believe that this switch off is an effective Christmas Present for those who are intent on criminal acts and antisocial behavior. There is bound to be increased callouts to already stretched emergency services

Ridiculous idea. It is pitch black down my road already and I dont feel safe walking my dog at night anymore. They are just asking for trouble.
