I am gathering the stories from everyone who posted their age to present them directly to the council members. Send an email to your local representative today to demand they explain why they are cutting off support for parents over nineteen. Post the link to this petition on Facebook to ensure other families know this change is coming.

When I found out I was pregnant and single and out of a job I had know idea how to clam benifits how to get an affordable and sutable roof over my head or any young mums wild helped me with all of this and I don't want to think about what would of happened to me and poppy with out the advise and friendship I gained there.
I think it is a terrible idea to lower the age, i was twenty when i had my daughter and joined WILD (now 21) and without WILD i dont know how i would of coped with my post natal depression, and every day life! Having a group to go to and to look forward to really helped me get through a dark time! And although im over 19
I understand that cuts need to be made, but limiting the support you give young mums could be very short sighted. Give them the support they need, and it will reap dividends; early intervention at its best! I hope you will reconsider. Fran Pender
wouldn't be fair! everyone needs support over the age of 19. I owe so much to wild have learnt so much. there nothing really for us to do in liskeard what is free. wild is and gives our children a chance to interact before nursey. don't take it away!! :( xx
i am 22 and without the help of wild i would still be suffering depresion and my daughters bond would never of been regained and my sons experiences so far would not of been as good as it is. without wild i wouldnt of got back into work and be now earning a living.
I am joining WILD soon and in october will be my 19th, I get looked down on even though I am the same age as my nan was when she had my mum. I am looking forward to joining WILD and meeting mums the same age as me, and making new friends from people who understand what it is like.

To the council Wild maybe just a group for young mums but its not just a group its much more than that, its like a family its somewhere for young mums to feel comfortable and not being judge for being a young mum! do not lower the age of WILD! being a young mum doesnt stop at 19!
