I have spent hours at the stalls this week listening to traders who have poured their lives into these pitches. Their worries about losing this space are heavy but hearing your stories in the comments reminds me why we cannot let this market disappear.

Seeing this level of support for the market stalls I grew up visiting leaves me truly speechless. This momentum proves that our community values its heart more than developers realize.

Wickford needs this market. If you take it away there is literally nowhere else to get decent bits and pieces. Ridiculous idea.
DONT SHUT IT DOWN!!! My family has come here for years and the town will have no heart left if this goes.

What are you trying to do removing the market will take a lot of trade away from the town centre. …you will damage the town
