Teachers and Administrators claim that their reason for the uniform policy of for safety. Though uniforms can reduce the chances of: gang violence and bullying they bring the threat of not having a choice. We believe that not having a choice as a teenager promotes not wanting to get a choice as an adult, and that is not safe. The ability to choose what you want to wear gives you building blocks for life. Teenagers and kids walk around with sagged pnts and crop tops . Being at a school where where can decide on your apparel, but with appropriate restrictions gives you a reference when deciding what to wear in the real world.

In addition to the quality of choosing your clothing, uniforms can also be scarce and expensive for some people. Parents/Guardians who might be stuck in a financial situation or who aren't stuck in a financial situation might find uniforms expensive. Students only wear uniforms 180 days out of the year, leaving 180 days when students need regular clothes. For caretakers to buy uniforms that will only be good for one year ( because we are all growing ) , then have to buy new ones is unfair. Teenagers spend 21% of money gained on regular clothing. Most 10-15 year olds have predominantly casual clothing.

In conclusion, allowing students to wear casual clothing increases maturity, is affordable, and gives students a chance to express themselves. Thank you for reading. Your signature counts to us, and have a nice day

The administration has acknowledged the surge in interest regarding the current uniform policy. We are now preparing a formal proposal to present at the next board meeting to request a structured review of these requirements.

Students need to be able to express themselves in a way through no uniforms and as a teacher myself I believe no uniforms should happen, but have a dress code to make it school friendly!

Yes! Finances are hard for people right now. 180 days of clothes that will actually last those 180 days aren't easy to find or afford. And teens, especially at this age, should be able to start appropriately expressing themselves and be discovering their identity!

I have a time finding uniform and daily wear clothes. I am not financially prepared to purchase two sets of clothing and my student would like freedom to express their own style to wear to school

It's hard to find uniforms and the quality of the ones that are available don't hold up.

I'm going to attend White Station High Schools next year and I believe that this is a great idea. Students should be allowed to express themselves however they want and be comfortable in school by whatever they choose to wear. Also, other schools have appealed the school uniform policy, so why shouldn't we? No uniforms would be great!

Let us express ourselves! How can we do that if we're forced to wear the same school clothes!
