New Jersey has banned the operation of hookah bars from opening after 2004 under the New Jersey Smoke-Free Air Act, N.J.S.A. 26:3D-55 et seq. and Smoke-Free Air, N.J.A.C. 8:6. This petition seeks to repeal these acts and allow for New Jersey to allow licenses for Hookah bar/lounges in New Jersey. Currently there are hookah bars that have been allowed to operate in New Jersey with the vast majority of them not being able to operate since they were not granted a license prior to 2004. We request that if you enjoy smoking hookah at a lounge/bar/restaurant that you sign this petition and have this law overturned.

its such a vibe and we have to drive all the way to philly just to find a decent spot. so tired of these outdated laws keeping us from having nice places to hang out.

NJ is way too strict with everything. People should be able to enjoy a hookah with their friends on a friday night. Let owners run their own business how they want.
