Today as citizens of this democratic country we enjoy various rights like Right to business, to information, to speech, to food, to justice...... n above all right to LIVE FREELY. In this competitive market with ever raising prices every body has to work hard not just for survival necessities but also to fill government pockets by paying various taxes. Now after working for hours we have one important right to enjoy as RIGHT TO ENTERTAINMENT by various means as per individual choice. Coming to our main subject, many of us like to spend our free time with friends smoking flavored hookahs which is legal not only in India but in other countries too. As smoking of any kind is prohibited in public places Govt. of India has put up some Norms and guide-line as Cigarettes and other Tobacco products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, production, Supply and Distribution) Rules, 2004 according to which hotels/restaurants or lounges following norms can provide Sheesha(flavored hookah) service. But govt. of Indore is keeping us away from enjoying our rights by imposing ban on sheesha lounges at the time when it is being freely served not only in other districts of Madhya Pradesh but almost every where in India. By imposing Ban on Sheesha the Authorities of Indore is trying to show their concern towards Indorians health but at the same time also showing their BIASED attitude as the ban dose not cover smoking CIGARETTES in public places or sale of LIQUOR at PUBS/BARS and the most irritating DARU THEKAS?? which we find in even residential locations and are not easily countable...? The answer is simple... by imposing Ban on Sheesha the Authorities have indirectly increased the direct sale of CIGARETTES and ALCOHOL as govt. generate huge amount of revenue in form of various taxes and license fees charged on sale of CIGARETTES and ALCOHOL, as those who preferred flavored sheesha are left with no other options. According to Authorities and even Television and Print Media smoking flavored Sheesha is more harmful than smoking CIGARETTES or consuming Alcohol where as on internet one can easily find various facts/figures and analysis reports showing that CIGARETTES and ALCOHOL are noway better than Sheesha rather according to reports smoking Tobacco free Flavored Hookahs are much safer and a good alternate for those fighting against CIGARETTES and ALCOHOL ADDICTION. So if the Govt. is really concerned about Indorians Health they must first ban CIGARETTES and ALCOHOL and for this we'll salute them. Now again the question raises that why this One sided BAN...? Its time for all the Indorians to call for your RIGHT TO CHOOSE.... I, AS AN INDORIAN SHEESHA LOVER APPLE EVERY INDORIANS TO SIGN THIS PETITION IF ACCORDING TO YOU EITHER BAN ON SHEESHA MUST BE REMOVED OR MUST BE IMPOSED ON CIGARETTES AND ALCOHOL TOO....
