On July 1st 2007 the new Victorian smoking laws regarding smoking in Licensed venues came into effect. This stops people smoking in enclosed licensed venues: pubs, clubs, etc. This petition has been created due to the fact that this ban includes dedicated Cigar Bars in which the sole purpose of visiting is to smoke. This legislation takes away individuals rights to partake in their passion of Cigars in a dedicated environment for which it was purpose built. The legislation website sites surveys that show that their will be little to no impact on business with this new legislation... I beg to differ when it comes to an establishment built for the sole purpose of enjoying a Cigar.
