The city has officially granted our request to host two events annually at Chilhowee Park. This resolution is a testament to the dedication of everyone who supported this effort. We look forward to seeing our community gather for these upcoming events.

Local Neighborhood Organizations have voted East10Drift out of Chilhowee Park. Through the misscommunication of the City of Knoxville, we feel that this act was not fair. The neighborhoods district councilman went strait to the Mayor and had East10Drift ejected. The City of Knoxville conveyed no message to East10Drift of complaints by the surrounding neighborhood associations, thus East10Drift had no reason to adjust event schedules or conduct. East10Drift would like compromise and have the ability to re-occupy Chilhowee Park for a maximum of two events a year.

Local residents, business owners and fans have the power to make this happen. By signing this petition you will help us get closer to bringing a family friendly event to the park and provide an awesome form of entertainment, while helping to promote a young sport and keep this automotive trend off the streets.
Why should others care?
East10Drift brought new life to Chilhowee Park and occupied the park more frequently than any other event organization. East10Drift's attendees (both drivers and spectators) traveled from within Knoxville city limits, Knoxville's surrounding counties, throughout the state and around the region. East10 Drift provided a new source of revenue for our surrounding businesses and local government.

would always drive the hour there to watch then go shopping and grab some food. It benefits Knoxville and should be allowed.
At every event that I was in attendance, East 10 Drift was in great standings with the local police and many people from the local community who would stop by to spectate. This entire event came as a very large shock, not just to East 10 Drift, but the entire drifting community. I sincerely hope this can be resolved.
such a great place. we need to have it back. I went to every event held by east10drift over the course of two years and I watched the community grow. definitely a positive. and help keep this automotive sport off the streets. we need safe places to go to.
i live in the community. didnt understand why they took it away. heard it was because of noise but if thats the case then the fair doesnt need to come either. if we cant use it over noise then they cant cause the fair is much louder granted i could hear both drift events and the fair but the fair is much louder and fireworks everynight during them seems the city has its priorities
These people come together for good clean safe fun. They are very polite and driving a course they can not do on these streets. Let them back to enjoy a hobby where they are and having fun. They clean up and are a good rounded group of drivers!

the drift even is no more of an interference in the community than the late note or evening events of the Fair in september. There not as many less than desirable charters at these events as you have with the fair in september.
