The Marston Vale Trust is hoping to apply for funding to make a number of improvements to The Wetland Nature Reserve. • Installation of a new bird observation hide located near the Forest Centre. This will allow views of The Pillinge Lake and its birdlife without causing disturbance. • Installation of an artificial Sand Martin nesting bank to provide nesting opportunities for this summer visitor. • Creation of a number of new ‘wader scrapes’ to encourage nesting waders and provide feeding habitat for a range of bird species.
