(1) I support current zoning provisions in the West End that permit a maximum building height of 18.3 meters (60 feet or 6 storeys), request that they be maintained for future developments in the West End, and that the current Zoning District Plan for the West End be upheld.
(2) I request in the event of considering general or site-specific land use and/or West End zoning changes, that these include meaningful consultation with residents, protect existing neighbourhood liveability, and respect/maintain the character of the neighbourhood. We need a comprehensive plan, not site-by-site rezoning.

I spent the entire morning staring at these maps and wondering how they expect us to keep the West End character when everything feels like it is shifting under our feet so fast. I have been emailing the planning office constantly and honestly the lack of a real response is almost as frustrating as watching another proposal pop up on the corner blocks again.

Been here 20 years. Traffic is a nightmare and the city isnt listening to us at all. Listen to the residents for once.
STOP RUINING THE WEST END. WE NEED A REAL PLAN NOT JUST LETTING DEVELOPERS BUILD WHATEVER THEY WANT
Developers are destroying the character of this area one building at a time. City hall needs to do their job and make a comprehensive plan instead of these random rezonings.
the neighbourhood vibe is totally changing. i moved here for the low rise charm not to live in a concrete canyon.
Enough with the highrises already. My street is getting so dark and crowded it just isnt the same place anymore.
