West 18th Street Parking Regulations Change
Based on various conversations
with residents and business owners, we are proposing amending the parking
regulations on the block. We are proposing that the regulations on the south side of the
block be changed to allow non-Commercial parking for up to two hours during
weekdays. This would likely involve the installation of additional parking card
meters for non-commercial vehicles. There are currently four card units on the
south side of 18th street. This change was made on 17th
Street last year and has worked quite well.
In order to request that the
Department of Transportation look into this change, we will need to present
before the Transportation Committee of Community Board 4 on October 15. We
would like to present results of a petition to show support for this proposal.
As such, if you support this change, please sign this electronic version of the
petition athttp://www.ipetitions.com/petition/west18.
(sign on the right side of the screen).
PLEASE PUT YOUR ADDRESS AND
BUSINESS NAME (if applicable) IN THE COMMENTS BOX SO THAT WE CAN SHOW THAT THE PEOPLE SIGNING
THE PETITION ARE ACTUALLY THOSE WHO WOULD BE AFFECTED.
If you have comments about this
(including if you do NOT support such a change), please email us at
[email protected] and [email protected]. If we find that
most people are not in favor of this change, we will clearly not pursue. But we
need to know your thoughts.
Living at 312 W 18th. Finding a spot around here is impossible after 5pm, this would help so much.
