Riding public transportation is a convenient way to save time, money, and maintenance on your vehicle. It also is a challenge since you have to drive to the bus stop and find a place to park. The Plaza at West Covina offers only parking in their parking structure which is at least 1/4 mile from the bus stop and commuters may only park on the third floor. Many riders are unable to make the stairs and there is no convenient elevator available.
For most commuters, time is valuable and parking at a shopping mall and near other stores is convenient. After work, many will shop at the nearby stores before heading home.
Please sign this petition to ask the management of The Plaza at West Covina to continue to provide quality parking for commuters that is close to the actual bus stop and not inconvenient to those commuters with certain handicaps. Thank you.

It would also be nice to be allowed to park along the perimeter of the Fresh and Easy parking lot which is typically empty. It would probably create some new customers who will run into the market after work before heading home. Someone should think long and hard about this option. The Post Office park and ride is full by 6:00 am each morning. We need options!

Instead of asking people to park in the two back rows of an unused parking lot during the holiday season West Covina Plaza tells people to walk across an area with no sidewalk or adequate pedestrian lighting and then up three flights of stairs to the space they’re allowing people to park. Very reasonable, thanks for nothing.

Although it is appreciated that The Plaza provides parking on the third floor of the structure, it is not safe, especially for commuters who arrive before 6:15 am. The parking lot is dark, there is a blind spot curve and there is no sidewalk. I doubt anyone on The Plaza board would want their wife or daughter walking from the third floor structure to the bus stop in the dark. It is an accident waiting to happen. Being able to park behind Sears Auto or by the Chinese Restaurant does not take away parking from potential customers. Customers rarely park that far away from the mall entrance.
