As a duly qualified state delegate candidate, I declare that I was disenfranchised by the actions of the leadership of the CCRP and left out of the electoral process to become an SCGOP state convention delegate at the Charleston County April 2025 Convention.

At the 2025 SCGOP Precinct ReOrg, many conservatives—including myself—checked this box on Form-1 (shown below) to be considered as a State Delegate to the SCGOP Convention.

________________________________________________________________________

✅ I'd like to run to be a delegate from my county to the 2025 State Republican Party Convention. AND attest that I voted in 2 of the last 3 statewide GOP primaries. Place my name on the ballot at the County Convention as (PRINT):

________________________________________________________________________

✅ I was eligible.
✅ I was on the ballot.
❌ But my right to be individually voted on was taken away.

What Should Have Happened:
Delegates to the Charleston County Convention arrived fully expecting to vote on the 495 eligible candidates individually by ballot—checking boxes on the paper ballot as practiced in the past. The top 70 would become State Delegates. The next 70 would become Alternates.

What Actually Happened:
The acting County Chair suddenly called for a slate vote by a vague “yay/nay” voice—not an individual ballot vote. This violated convention rules, which require a 2/3 vote for such a change. No opposing slate was presented. No debate. No count. No accountability. No fairness.

I demand transparency, accountability, and voting consistent with the spirit and intent of SCGOP rules!

The below are excerpts from SCGOP Bylaws Rule 2:

Rule2

(f) All elections to a party office at all levels of organization shall be decided by a majority vote unless otherwise directed by the rules; all delegates shall be elected by plurality vote....

(g) These Rules may be amended only by the State Convention by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the total number of delegates registered and approved for that convention or reconvened convention.

My husband and I got up before dawn and traveled over four hours to be present to vote at the convention (cutting our Florida family vacation short). We left the convention VERY disenfranchised with the actions of CCRP leadership taking away our rights to vote individually for delegates!!! We demand a proper paper ballot vote for transparency and accountability in line with the SCGOP rules. Thank you.

For the 2025 SCGOP Precinct ReOrg the Charleston County Republican Party did the following: 1) Created 2) Printed 3) Gave Each Delegate a Printed Ballot with Individual Names for EACH Delegate to INDIVIDUALLY VOTE for SPECIFIC PEOPLE – For the 2023 SCGOP Precinct ReOrg for Charleston County EACH Delegate was able to INDIVIDUALLY VOTE for SPECIFIC PEOPLE – In 2025 the CCRP Took Away the Delegates’ Rights – CCRP was WRONG to Take Away the Delegates’ Rights

The CCRP Convention was a travesty to the rule and spirit of SCGOP bylaws and the Republican Creed. This abuse of power needs to be fully exposed!

That sham of a Convention was a Hostile Takeover. That uncivilized gang had no shame.

The Charleston County 2025 Convention proceedings were outrageous and clearly illegal.

I came to the 2025 Charleston County ReOrg to VOTE for Specific People, but CCRP took my VOTE (& all the other Delegates' Votes away).

No way anyone can quickly count cards being held up in a room that size to determine a 2/3 majority.

Robert’s Rules were obliterated while our State Attorney General stood by watching.
