We, the undersigned, believe that the natural areas of the Welwyn Preserve property should be maintained and remain forever as a nature preserve for the benefit and passive recreational enjoyment of the people of Nassau County. The Welwyn Farms project, while worthy in intention, is an inappropriate use of preserve lands, entailing the removal of four acres of natural area, and should be developed in a more suitable location elsewhere.

Keep the preserve as it is. We have so little green space left in Nassau and once you build over it you can never get it back.

Too much concrete already. Need to keep this area for the wildlife and for people to get some peace and quiet.

My kids grew up hiking these trails. It would be a total shame to lose that land to development. Please leave it alone!
