Seeing 250 names on this petition brings me right back to those quiet afternoons walking through the woods and hoping they would stay protected forever. This shows how many of us cherish the land where my own children learned to explore the outdoors.

Seeing one hundred people sign this confirms I am not the only one who cares about the future of these woods. Walking past that land with my kids has always been special to me and knowing you want to keep it wild feels incredible.

We should not give up open space in the center of town when other reuse options are available. The Housing Authority is overburdened now. Why would we risk encumbering the town with another Meadows and it toll on taxpayers.
We don’t need more traffic on Prospect Ridge Road as it is already a pass through and at times like the Indy 500. Let’s keep it safe for residents already living here and the children who use scalzo field, not add to the congestion already here. Stop trying to makeover what Ridgefield is, a lovely village in a beautiful town ant not a suburb of New York.
While I fully support Affordable Housing, I believe this location should be retained as open space and or a recreation area for all of Ridgefield to benefit from.
I walk in all of Ridgefield's various open spaces a couple hundred times throughout the year. That space better serves Ridgefield as open space than it does another half dozen houses.
We need to preserve our open space. The town has a goal of 30% and is currently in the low 20s. This would only widen that gap. Development in this area would also put a strain on our infrastructure (sewer / roads) as well as increase the traffic situation downtown.
This is a must get done adoption to open space. There is enough building going on in town. We need some thing that will preserve nature in what a gift to us. Every Ridgefield I should petition for the saving of this land.
This is an underhanded land grab -- from a town that claims to prioritize preservation of open space.

2 POCD Reports show that the residents value open space and prevention of overdevelopment. These 2 paid for reports, a decade apart, are largely being ignored to the detriment of Ridgefield.
