Born in Mauritius and have only been back once. I would love to take my new family to see Mauritius. But seriously the monopoly air Mauritius has is way to expensive. I'd prefer to spend my money not on a plane fair, but on the island helping the economy.
Air asia has give a lot of mauritian the chance to travel and explore other countries. And a lot of parents have been able to go amd visit their children that are studying abroad!! Don't take that chances away from us, Mauritians!!
Everybody should have access to affordable travels. Air Mauritius is monopolising the market, even increasing its prices now that Air Asia is gone. It's absurd. In a country where the average pay is Rs20,000 , how can people save for travels? We want air asia back.
I want it back..because it really low cost compare to other...with air asia many people can afford to take a flight...i take myself as an exemple...without air asia i would not be able to travel to malaysia...as other airline are too expensive...
We want air Asia back. If air mtius is not able to compete, just privatise it. As it is Air Mtius is a huge liability for every Mauritian people; hedging, big salary, political issue nomination of personal. Just stop all this. We Mauritian r suffering...

Air Asia allows people to travel, discover and grow for people at low cost price. It's a pity that this airline had to interrupt all flies. Moreover, it would have been an opportunity for more tourists to come to Mauritius at a reasonable price and improve our economy
