A 5 yr old's window has a view of a dismembered head hanging next door. He never can sleep when construction is going on. It's terrible that the neighbors who invested hard earned money in their homes have to put up with this and that the building department won't get involved. This project should have to have permits like other construction projects. It is finishing the value of the homes next door. It's inappropriate, inconsiderate and irresponsible. Please insist that it is moved to a non-residential area.

I think it is very scary for kids and adults. Very bad for kids under six year old. Can cause demage in their mental developement and cause nightmares. Should be removed when Helloween is over.

The haunted house has been a nuisance to its neighbors since it first began. The construction of the house takes more than 3 months, and it happens every single year. It is not fair to the neighbors to have to endure constant construction all day for three (or more) months, every single year. No one would enjoy living through this, and It would drive any normal person insane. We do not frown upon the Haunted House itself and its endeavors. We just want it to be built somewhere else that is not right next to our house. Preferably, somewhere where people wouldn't mind or would enjoy the construction process that happens throughout months. That would be ideal, not the current situation.

How the authorities can allow to built something like this. This is terrible for the little kids around the neighborhood. Those things are only for twisted minds. Please stop them.

I really feel for this family. The houses in Albany are really close together. It must be awful having to deal with construction noise for months. Furthermore, it must be very frightening to the young boy to see gory images and hear scary noises while he is trying to sleep. While the teenager may have good intentions, I believe it is not appropriate to have a haunted house in a residential neighborhood. I believe it would be an excellent idea to involve other teenagers in the project and build the haunted house at the site of a middle-school or a high school. Finally, I think this teenager's mother is doing him a disservice by allowing him to go through with this project to this extend without taking into consideration the rights of the people living in close proximity to him. To subject neighbors to half a year of noise and construction work on an illegal large backyard structure is outrageous and would not be tolerated in the city of San Francisco where I live. Furthermore, I question the judgement, lack of consideration and most importantly the irresponsibility of a parent giving to her child free reign to build and operate this structure. The child is a minor, not a professional contractor. Furthermore this is the type of project and operation, which involves invasion of privacy and issues of violating the peace and quiet of a residential neighborhood should take place on city property where it can be regulated as a business, and would not constitute a massive intrusion on others. This is not a little backyard playhouse that is a part of a garden but a building project. I feel great sympathy for the neighbors who have to put up with the long-term construction entailed year after year and then endless parades of visitors over the Halloween weekend in a neighborhood not zoned for this type of activity. I sincerely hope this illegal use will be stopped and never permitted again in its present location. .
