We feel very strongly that this structure should NOT be destroyed. We feel that this is a part of our heritage. Many generations of Vernonian's played ball or watched ballgames at this great old structure and we believe it is well worth saving. The cost of destroying it far out weighs the saving of these Grandstands. We want our city government to do our will and save it.
Seeing this much support for the grandstands reminds me why I started this fight even when the council makes me feel like I am shouting into a void. I am exhausted by the constant pushback from the city, but your backing keeps me moving forward.

Save the grandstands. We have lost way too much to past floods. Keep this piece of history

Would love to see it stay. We could use it as a concert venue radio venue maybe even put in something like a dirt track or motorcycle racing track. It has potential and it would save our history.

I understand the City of Vernonia has made a financial decision based on facts and risk assessments, but we implore you to consider the emotional resonance of this last remaining remnant of our childhood. I am asking the City to stay the demolition, permit an engineer to inspect the property, and allow time for the alumni to provide a creative solution.

I would hate to see it go! My parents graduated from VHS, as did my brothers and I, and now my daughters. So lots of history and memories there! Also adds character to our town

One of the last standing structures in our little town that celebrates past generation's commitment to the school when they built it. And so many generations have celebrated in them and it's important to future generations that we save and preserve it. Our schools are gone, let's keep the Logger pride and spirit alive!

Please keep what is left of our memories when we return home for a visit. We love Vernonia and it is always a part of us. History needs to be preserved!
