Dear Mr. Pergantis, We are urging you to save what remains of The Old Groton Inn. It is our understanding that 30% of the Inn is still salvagable to be used to rebuild the Inn, reused/recycled, or to be donated to a historical society. If the Inn is not rebuilt, then we envision the front facade being removed in one piece, the murals being saved, the bricks being reused - perhaps to brick the sidewalk in front of the property as a memorial. There are so many options and there are people who are interested and willing to help you. Please consider how much the Inn means to the history of Groton, to people past and present, and to the future of the Inn's site. We sincerely hope that you will save what can be saved so that it is around for future generations. Respectfully,
