As of this morning, We now have over 400 signatures on the distributed Hard Copies and the Internet versions of this Petition being distributed, 405 to be exact...There is still time to join this effort as we plan to turn in the final results this afternoon for the Long Range Plan presentation tonight...WELL DONE!!!

PLEASE USE THE " SPREAD THE WORD" ICON under where you SIGN NOW to distribute this to other CCC Members...

HERE IS THE PETITION BELOW:

All of us are aware of the proposed LONG RANGE PLAN that our Board of Directors has been considering. It appears that this Board and the Long Range Plan Committee believe that a LARGE MAJORITY of our Members support this Plan to spend $12-15+ million. We believe that our Club is currently positioned to attract new members due to our location, reputation, current facilities, and status in the Community. We do not believe that this Long Range Plan must be implemented for the Carolina Country Club to remain viable and financially stable. Many of us are concerned that it is not possible to complete this Plan with "NO ASSESSMENT and a MONTHLY DUES INCREASE of $5," attributable to this Plan. The Long Range Plan Committee mentality of "Build It and New Members Will Come" is not necessary for the vitality of our Carolina Country Club's future.

Therefore, We the following, DO NOT SUPPORT the PROPOSED Long Range Plan at this time.

To join our EFFORTS, use the SIGN NOW button and follow directions, then SPREAD THE WORD below it to contact your CCC Member friends. TOGETHER, we can make a difference in the Carolina Country Club's Future..

Respectfully,

Concerned Members of the Carolina Country Club

Aspects of this plan pit membership against each other--old vs. young, golfers vs.tennis, etc. That is not a good way to embark on a multi-year endeavor. I oppose the plan in its current state. Let's wait until we have far more cash on hand before tackling a plan of this magnitude.

I appreciate all the work of the LRC, I just dont think a majoirty of the members support the plan in its current form. I think given some more time and planning there could be some common middle ground that most members could support.

I think an upgrade of some of the facilities, such as tennis court lights, would be a much more feasible option. I have talked to numerous members in my age group and none agrees with the direction the board wants to go. Many have expressed concern and look at dropping membership as an option for them.

Can't afford the proposed Long Range Plan without substantial dues increases over the next few years. Concern that younger members will not be able to afford to join the club and long term members will drop their memabership due to costs. Certainly the Board can orchestrate a Plan B with cosmetic only improvements.

My concern is that i have heard no projected costs for upkeep, staff, etc. I know we have been told that the expansion will in no way affect our dues situation; but without the budget projections for all to see, it would be difficult for me to vote for such a project without more information.

I do not trust this CCC Board. This expansion will call for increased dues and possible assessment. It is not needed and most members I talk to are opposed. Why does this board want to create something that will make the CCC even more non-affordable?
