Jacob is a wonderful person and a great friend. He is witty and precise and intelligent. But he's also got an incredibly rare illness that I can't even pronounce.
For years now, Jacob has endured this disease with intrepidity and acceptance, despite the sacrifice of his ability to eat freely, go to school and countless other privileges that we often just take for granted.
He is now in hospital, and is soon to undergo yet more surgery. He will be forced to remain in hospital for six weeks or more after the operation. The last thing I want him to feel is loneliness.
Please, sign this petition to show our support to Jacob. Please write a message to raise his spirits. Please help Jacob get better and kick his disease in the face.
