We as parents and students of the Woodford County Public Schools would like the Dress Code and the Cell phone punishment rules changed to reflect what the surrounding counties rules are. 1st offence for cell phone violation in surrounding counties state that it is returned to the parent that day. We do not agree that personal property like a cell phone should be allowed to be kept by the school after schools hours. So if that means the student has to turn the phone in the morning and get it back at the end of the day for a few days that is fine. But it most certiantly shouldnt be kept over the weekend! Dress code in surrounding counties state as long as the clothes do not have offensive, raciest, nudity, gang related material, drugs or alcohol, sexist remarks it is acceptable. Yes there should be some limits to what the student wear, but the current rules are to strict! And we believe that the teachers must abide by the same dress code! WE WANT CHANGE!
