Dear Harbor Master of Waukegan Harbor, Waukegan, IL This petition is to bring to your attention issues that users of the Waukegan launch ramps have with the facility. The launch ramps are almost unusable. All except the farthest north ramp are too shallow and have holes/broken concrete in them. All launch ramp lanes should be repaired with new concrete and made deeper. The piers are too high. The piers should be lowered or converted to floating. Spring (before Memorial day) parking is a nightmare. Would be nice to have more room for early season fishing. Would be nice to set up a traffic pattern that made it possible to park closer to the fish cleaning house and easier to prepare a boat for launching/loading. We hope that you consider working with us in resolving the issues listed above. We believe these changes will lead to a more usable and safer facility.
