In a state surrounded by water, women giving birth to their babies in hospitals don't have the option of a water tub for labor. Many women can attest that being able to labor in water makes the need for pain medication less and the pain in labor more bearable. Kaiser Moanalua Hospital has tubs available for their patients (yay Kaiser!) and we feel that every mother in Hawai`i should have access to this simple (and inexpensive) form of pain relief.
