I honestly did not think this would gain so much traction when I started typing it out on my laptop during breakfast but here we are and the response has been completely wild. It is genuinely strange to see so many people agreeing on something that feels like such a simple common sense fix and I am just trying to keep up with all the notifications that keep popping up on my screen.

RIDICULOUS TAXES. Fix this.
tired of the constant property tax hikes when we arent getting value for our money. give us the choice.
Finally someone said it! My bins sit empty half the time because we use a private service for our business. Why am I still being billed for city pickup?
Sick of paying for services I dont even use. Just let us pick who handles our trash and be done with it.
The city service is so unreliable lately. If I want to pay someone else to take my garbage away properly I should be allowed to without double paying.

Competition is good. The municipal monopoly on waste management is way past its expiration date.
