Let’s keep it optional some people already keep their organic waste and use it in there garden. Let’s do this the democratic way and not force people to do something they don’t need or want, while forcing them to pay for it!
We need to recycle items that do not biodegrade, not organics. Composting is what the city should incentivize (I already compost), rather than requiring all to pay for service on yet another large container and to find premium space for it inside the garage where its contents will rot and become smelly.
We are a couple of seniors, aged in the 80's. We have a very small amount of garbage. We have no need for an additional waste can to store. This program should definitely be optional ONLY
I didn't know this was being considered. I have no room for another waste container and do not want to pay for it. My yard waste container accepts organic waste all year. I WILL NOT use the new container.
I have been composting in my yard for years. I don't want to be charged for something I would never use. Moreover, there are a lot of people who still don't know how to paper/metal/plastic recycle correctly and will probably not organic recycle correctly either.
I will not be participating in this program. And do not want to be forced to pay for it. Starting this spring our family will be feeding all of our food scraps to our new backyard chickens.

We have a garbage disposal in our sink, and we also compost some food products already. This must not be made mandatory. Let those that want to use the service, be the ones that pay for it.
