My name is Ella Robinson. I started this petition to open the eyes of both the government and diamond consumers. My petition is about "conflict diamonds" or "blood diamonds" as some might call them. Conflict diamonds are diamonds sold for funding wars and conflicts. Wars and conflicts that have cost an estimated 3.7 million lives. Conflict diamonds are sold internationally even in Canada where they are supposedly "clean". This petition is to stop conflict diamonds from being used as a fund for war and for the workers who make them to be treated fairly.
