Students accross five majors (music, theater, visual art, dance and creative writing) put on more than a hundred performances in the span of a nine month school year, the busiest months being March, April and May. It is important for these growing artists to replenish their energy in order to reach excellence and bring social change to the world through their art. Despite hundred of emails sent to the head of school, it was denied a rest day to the 300 sleep-deprived artists. Walnuts are extremely upset. People are crying in silence. The amount of work they do is insane for people their age. Really hoping the admin listens for once.
Schooling shouldnt be a marathon where everyone ends up burn out. Even artists need sleep.
These kids are literally exhausted. You can tell just by looking at them in the hallways. Just give them one day off!
MY SON COMES HOME AND FALLS ASLEEP IMMEDIATELY. HE CANT EVEN DO HIS HOMEWORK. FIX THIS NOW.
100 performances in a year?? That is crazy. Nobody can keep that pace up forever. Let them breathe.
