Walhalla high school has been dress coding students for wearing pride flags. Students should be allowed to express who they are. LGBTQ+ students are not being allowed to show who they are. They are being forced to hide their sexuality.

I spent the last two afternoons just listening to students talk about how they feel invisible in these hallways and it honestly breaks my heart that anyone has to feel that way at school. I am working on getting a meeting set up with the administration because they cannot keep ignoring the fact that students are being singled out for simply existing. My notes are becoming a complete mess but the momentum is shifting and that is the only thing keeping me going right now.

This is ridiculous. When I went to Walhalla, I saw plenty of trump merch and confederate flags on the back of some vehicles in the student parking lot. This is not offensive, it is a symbol of pride and hope. It is oppressive to the LGBTQ community to not be able to wear them.
as someone apart of the LGBTQ+ community who went to walhalla high school i fully support. the whole county of oconee is very homophobic and it is not okay.
A pride flag is not a synbol of hate. If a cross can be worn so too can something that soneone identifys with.
YESSIR! i was one who was wearing the pride flags and got dresscoded today. i was told it was "political," but against the dress code, where it wasn't even in the dress code. we, my friends and i are trying to retaliate against the trump supporters, who were harassing us for this, and we were called slurs. its not right that we can get attacked for who we are but they won't since they are homophobic, racist pieces of poo. biden 2020, they wont keep us silent
A pride flag is not political unlike all of the trump flags! The pride flag is to show who you are, not to show you support a political party.

this isn’t a political issue this is human rights issue even if you’re not lgbtq+ you need to realize this isn’t something you can choose this is an actual person that wants to be proud of who they are this shouldn’t be a debate
