Please help us in holding him accountable! Richard Martin, 45, of Newbury, VT, caught his neighbor's dog "Kane" in an illegally set snare trap. He then shot the dog and killed it. VT Fish & Wildlife officials say Martin has been cited for trapping violations in the past. Martin is scheduled to appear in Orange Co. Court in Chelsea, VT, on 3/19/14, for 1 count misdemeanor animal cruelty and 4 counts illegal trapping. We want Richard Martin to receive the maximum penalty provided by law on EACH COUNT.
