We the undersigned, including parents, guardians and carers of pupils at St Catherine's Catholic School for Girls Bexleyheath, wish to show our loss of confidence in Mrs Yvonne Connolly and Mr Barry Connell to carry out their duties of Head Teacher and Chair of Governors respectively.

Updates

November 30, 2019

The emails I receive from parents every day confirm that this loss of confidence in leadership is widespread. We are currently compiling these experiences to present directly to the board. Email your local representative today and tell them why our school needs a change in direction.

The momentum behind this request for accountability is growing rapidly. Email your local representative today to ensure they know exactly why parents have lost confidence in the current school leadership.

The Head refuses to speak to staff and seems to have no wish to resolve this. The fact that she won't even speak to parents directly shows how difficult it must be for teachers and support staff to have their views heard. Nobody should have to work in any place of employment where they fear suspension as a method to silent the staffs' voice.

I have a younger sister that goes to this school, I can see the effects that all this nonsense has on her. She loves the teachers that are out on strike, and would like to see them have a fair hearing. She never sees the head teacher during the course of the day.

Look around. Do we see good school teachers out of school protesting? Something seriously wrong here! Our kids deserve teachers who feel secure & supported in their job. The girls love the staff on strike. This shows us a lot. I say, stand firm. Lots ate behind you.

I am incredibly sad to see the highest ranking school in the area in this dreadful situation. I am not fully aware of all the details but the strike should have been avoided by the headteacher and the board. I fully support the strike and I wish that the negotiations come to fruit for the benefit of all students and staff members.

Please just get this sorted out ASAP. It has been a month since my daughter has had a science lesson yet is expected to sit her mocks next week. This should prove the impact of the strikes!

I cannot believe how long this has gone on for. For a headteacher to lose respect of so many staff it is impossible for her to continue.
