We the undersigned are opposed to the 3 special use permit applications by sPower of Utah for the construction of the 500MW Industrial solar power plant in Spotsylvania County. We urge all members of the Board of Supervisors to vote (NO) and DENY the application.
I have been spending my evenings reviewing the county planning documents and the sheer scale of this project remains deeply alarming for our local landscape. Please keep reading the testimonials here because seeing our neighbors describe their fears for our fields reminds me exactly why we started this fight.

Seeing one hundred people stand up to protect our quiet fields from this industrial plant means the world to me. My family has lived here for generations and I never imagined we would have to fight so hard to keep our home the way it is.

Not good for Spotsy Co. Please preserve this land. Protect neighbors & their property values, wild life, beauty of historic area, & tourism. 5000 acres and only creates approx. 30 jobs. INSANE! PLEASE NO SOLAR FARM IN SPOTSYLVANIA! Thank you.

I vote no and I expect the county supervisors to vote no on the massive solar farm. Do you want to drink water that's washed over a broken piece of solar panel exposing the "sealed" poisonous chemical? Well neither do the citizens out here on wells!!

This is a historical area and should not tampered with. Despite it is not "exactly" on the site, there were multiple battles in the area and I am sure there are parts of this land that the battles were fought on. It is horrible to destroy the history of this area!

I am totally against sPower’s plans to build a solar utility plant in such close proximity to homes. Not enough is known about the negative impact from this monstrosity, and the decommissioning plan (or the lack of one) is beyond irresponsible.

This project does not belong so close to a residential area. The area roads cannot support the increase in truck traffic safely! Just look at the corners along Rt.621! The trucks cannot even make the turn with all wheels on the road.

I support solar, but can’t support this aggressive & poorly planned project. It’s designed to maximize short term profits, but without the critical safeguards needed to protect our community - now & in the long term.

Leave our trees and neighborhood alone! This is farm land, solar power is not farming. Microsoft does t care about Spotsylvania.

This is ridiculous..it needs to be put further away from the battlefields.
This has to be voted down.
