We believe that Piermont is too small to support two markets, so please join us in our quest to convince village officials to have "The SOUK" as the one and only year-round Farmer's market here in our village. Let village officials know you want a GREAT market that you would look forward to and be proud of... one that draws people in from neighboring towns and helps Piermont businesses; a market that is run by a local non-profit business and by people who live in and care for community. This trend has proven itself successful in the bustling Tarrytown, Hastings, Bronxville and Pleasantville markets, just to name a few, who began running their own markets in place of the for-profit companies that previously ran them.

Thriving downtown markets not only generate a sense of community, they boost local economies by driving new customer tourist revenue into the village. The OUTSIDE IN has successfully hosted ”The SOUK” Winter Market in Piermont for the last 3 years. We believe the brand & concept can be brought to the center of town during the Spring & Summer creating a vibrant local farm market community full with vendors and product diversity. “The SOUK” is part of The Valley Area Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing and promoting the appreciation and awareness of the local culinary & fine arts and in particular, the work of Hudson Valley farmers, chefs and craft food artisans specializing in local and wholesome food.
