Tower Hamlets day centre is for adults with complex learning difficulties. The strain that is put on staff is completely unjust and a few basic resources is the difference that the centre desperately needs.

Your signature will be another step in the right direction and without it the centre will not get the change it needs to remain open.

This petition will be sent to the local council with the following requests:

1. A form of travel (particularly a wheelchair accessible bus) for these adults is absolutely necessary as, without it, they are unable to leave the day centre and the staff are constantly put on strain. The customers are also unable to enjoy their day like the rest of us are because they do not have the basic resources that we all take for granted.
2. We plan to revamp the old and cramped art room into something that the customers will enjoy and be happy to spend time in. We also want to improve it to make the room more interactive so that the customers are constantly engaged with their day instead of being withdrawn and unhappy at the centre
3. The pre-existing staff are constantly put under the strain of being given a new worker by the council who looks good on paper but does not have the practical experience to look after these adults. With this petition, we hope to request that the current staff be allowed to know about the new workers and should be allowed to make sure they have the prerequisite requirements to make a positive impact at the centre.

Please sign this petition as, without it, this unfair standard will continue and the centre will just regress to less than what it is.
