Unfortunately, Adobe is deprecating Ad Hoc Analysis in Q3 2019.
Many of us have voiced our discontent with this decision but (as far as I can tell) no further action has been taken.
This petition has been created to show Adobe how many of us will be negatively impacted by their decision.

We used Ad Hoc heavily in performing correlation studies on how page load times impact business outcomes, this is not something we could have done using Workspace
Please don't take away Ad-hoc Analysis
Workspace is not the same as Ad Hoc
Yes, people use them. Yes, people love it still. Please keep it!
Workspace is great for dashboards, but not for deep analysis. Simple workspaces (visits, no segments, 90 days, several tables by week, channel, etc.) do not always load and freeze repeatedly.
My company uses this for data analysis

Helpful for pulling more granular data such as minute level or hour level, or any eVar with many unique values. Workspace caps out at 400 rows while Ad-Hoc enables 50K. This is an unacceptable gap given this is a fairly regular use case that is not realistically possible in Workspace.
