I'm starting this petition in an effort to get Entertainment Arts a Mac Cintiq lab in the WB Ford building. I know that Steve Stanchfield is fighting to make this a reality, but he needs our help. Currently non-senior EA students do not have access to a Cintiq lab, and there are only 2 Cintiq's in the 24 hour lab, which don't have the necessary animation software, and aren't on Macs. The use of Cintiq's is prevalent in the animation industry, and students need access to industry technology. Please sign this petition to make it known that not only would a cintiq lab be a benefit to our education, but that it would be used by many.
The details: A lab with Macs, Cintiq's, and various animation softwares such as Flash, Toon Boom Harmony, and TVPaint.
The administration remains silent regarding our request for a Mac Cintiq lab in the WB Ford building. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall so they cannot ignore the demand for industry standard tools. Email your department representative today to insist that non-senior students deserve access to the software required for our field.

The momentum behind this lab expansion is growing and it shows that our department needs these tools to succeed. Post this link on your Facebook page right now and email our department head to demand a timeline for these updates.

Cintiqs and digital animation software have become vital tools in the industry. Please provide your students with access to these tools as early as possible in their CCS education.

We have one of the largest departments in the school. Our senior studio alone has maybe five or more Cintiqs altogether, and that's a seniors only lab, not accessible to anyone else.

As the school's largest department, we are severely under developed with industry level technology. It's important to get students comfortable with pieces like the Cintiq's so that they can use them sooner than senior year. By having the various animation programs as well, our students will be more valuable to companies who use these as industry standards.

This lab would not only be aid in student efficiency, but is also industry standard. The EA department is growing fast, and this lab would be a step in the right direction to making the program more reputable.

Many EA students have attempted to fight the good fight. We are mistreated and put in last priority, its time for CCS to start treating us like other majors!
