TECCA staff are paid considerably lower than their brick and mortar counterparts. Working from home DOES NOT rectify an average of a $10,000-$20,000 pay cut. Our caseloads and administrative tasks are significantly higher than our counterparts, and our curriculum and platform is outdated. TECCA staff deserve to be valued for their dedication.

TECCA staff have not received any significant cost of living increase since the pay scales were first introduced in 2018. A "restructuring" of the pay scales resulted in the majority of staff receiving cost of living increases ranging from $5-$15 in 2020.

TECCA still has no clear plan in their budget to raise wages to be more equitable with brick and mortar schools.

Working virtually, does not mean we are virtually expendable.

Demand that TECCA update their pay scales to reflect reasonable cost of living increases.

The administration at TECCA keeps ignoring the reality that we are being underpaid by thousands of dollars while they bank on our silence. We have reached a critical mass of support that they can no longer pretend does not exist. It is time for them to stop acting like our labor is virtual and start paying us what we are actually worth.

Bonuses instead of pay increases are a way to keep salaries low in the not so long run.

I did take a $25,000 pay cut to come here. This description of the school was not shared with me during my interview. Thanks to the members of the union.

According to Mass. gov The Social Security Administration has announced that the latest Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) is 5.9% in 2022. Local school districts often have cost of living raises worth 6-9% over 3 years. A cost of living increase of only 2% for TECCA staff is almost hurtful. I am a highly qualified teacher and took a large paycut to come to TECCA. Other members from my previous school have not applied for jobs at TECCA due to the current salaries. I sincerely hope that TECCA reconsiders the current payscale that is being proposed.

TECCA is unable to attract and keep qualified staff due to its pay scale. Current cost of living increase proposals do not keep up with insurance costs, etc. While we do not commute regularly and save on that front, we do not have access to supplies or a supply budget. Please keep our increases in line with other districts.

I took a 20% pay cut to come to TECCA, and now I am even further behind my old district because of the lack of increases from TECCA. Health insurance deductibles have increased, with no commensurate salary increase. Responsibilities continue to increase. I was part of several interview committees last year, and we lost at least 2 desired candidates because of the salary. Paying lip service to how we are valued is not enough. Pay us what we are worth, which is at least as much as other TEC districts.

We do not receive any work home supports like other companies including stipends for supplies etc. Aside from this our salaries should reflect that of those of other educators.

Time to show how much you value teachers.
