I am currently compiling the arguments from this petition to present directly to the offices of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees. These submissions are being formatted into a formal brief that focuses on the redirection of funds toward mental health resources and housing programs.

I am a veteran of 27 years service and I am appalled at this orgy of narcissism for a draft dodger that will waste resources that could assist at-risk veterans. Stop the parade!
A military parade is a misuse of taxpayer funds. We're told it's to honor vets, yet it's being proposed for Veterans' Day, a day that ALREADY honors all veterans. If this current White House occupant really wants to honor vets, that money should be used for support services, not an unneeded display of our military might.
It makes no sense to have a parade to someone who believes he is living in a country that is authoritarian. It makes no sense why the military would placate to this. As a US Navy Veteran I think it is a misuse of Tax Payer money and it could be used to make sure that veterans do not go homeless, or help for PTSD, and MANY other uses.
When veterans can get health care that they need, food that they need, housing and other services that they need....maybe then we can talk about a parade that really is not about the vets at all.
This parade is a waste of $$- RIP Margo Dolan- vet who committed suicide 10/292014- $ should have been spent on her PTSD instead.
Brave men & women of America's Military aren't available to stroke an authoritarian temporarily residing in White House.
This parade is a ridiculous waste of resources. We can’t afford to feed the hungry or house the homeless, but we feed Trumps ego?

In America, we don’t have parades based upon one person’s ego need. Spend the money on the services veterans need . My late father was a young officer in the Navy during WWII and retired a Captain many years later. This President has given nothing to his country but corruption, greed, and lack of decorum.
