This petition is raised as to seek a formal action to be taken against the members of the administration of Loyola College of Education Namchi, for misconduct of teacher’s behaviour and actions. The institution teaches about inclusion but is accusing the female students of distracting the members of Society of Jesus. A specific teacher has even attempted to touch the female students's hair and shine a torchlight to check the hair color. The members have been complaining about the female students's hairstyle, the earrings, the color of the lips etc. We value an environment where we get to learn and prosper together. Not a place where they feel comfortable enough to point out the female students's appearance not just once but several times.
Hence, we sincerely request the authoritative body of the Sikkim University to kindly take action and stand with the student body.

I firmly believe that appearance doesn't matter what truly matters is knowledge and wisdom.

STOP FOCUSING ON WHAT THE GIRLS ARE WEARING AND FOCUS ON THE CLASSES. REALLY PATHETIC BEHAVIOR BY THE ADMINISTRATION.

This is harassment plain and simple. Why are teachers looking at hair color and earrings instead of teaching? Unprofessional.

This is not at all acceptable. Male teachers are touching female students hair with flashlights on seeing whether they have colours in their hair or not. Female teachers are telling the female students to keep their distance from Brother's and Father's as they are distracting them from God.

I agree.the professors need to focus on the training of the trainees and not their appearance.

It is deeply concerning to hear and experience such incidents from a place meant to nurture growth and respect. No student should feel judged, uncomfortable, or unsafe. I strongly urge the authorities to investigate and ensure a healthy learning environment. Discipline should never cross into discomfort or disrespect. Institutions must uphold values of inclusion and respect in practice, not just in words. I support this petition and request proper investigation and accountability.
