We, the undersigned students of Class XII, Patha Bhavan, submit this petition seeking immediate action regarding serious concerns about the conduct of Anirban Banerjee, History Teacher, towards students.

Students have reported and experienced abusive, insulting, humiliating, and inappropriate language in communication from the teacher on several occasions. This has created distress and discomfort and has harmed the safe, respectful academic environment that every student should have.

More seriously, there are allegations of inappropriate and sexually suggestive communication with a minor student through electronic messaging and WhatsApp. Because these allegations involve a teacher in a position of authority and a minor student, we request that the relevant messages, screenshots, and surrounding circumstances be examined without delay.

We ask that the identity and privacy of any affected student be protected at every stage. No student should face intimidation, retaliation, academic disadvantage, or further inappropriate contact for coming forward.

In view of the seriousness of these concerns, we request that the school administration take decisive action and secure the teacher’s resignation from the institution within seven (7) days of receiving this petition, subject to the applicable institutional procedures and proper consideration of the evidence. If resignation is not the appropriate step, we request equally decisive disciplinary or administrative action within the same seven-day period, together with safeguards to ensure there is no inappropriate contact with students while the matter is resolved.

We therefore respectfully request the school authorities to initiate an immediate and impartial inquiry, speak privately with affected students in a safe and confidential setting, examine the available electronic evidence, investigate the reported abusive and humiliating language, investigate the allegations of inappropriate and sexually suggestive communication with a minor student, protect the affected student from retaliation or disadvantage, maintain strict confidentiality, and ensure that all students can study in an environment that is safe, respectful, and free from harassment.

We submit this petition in the interest of student safety, dignity, welfare, and accountability, and we are prepared to provide further information when required.
