UST is trying to terminate the environmental studies major completely, saying it is just not worth the money spent and that we are a "dying major." We have 15 majors, and even more who would like to declare, but cannot because they have been blocked from registering. These numbers also do not include those who are freshman and cannot declare because they have not reached 30 hours. Regardless, it is outrageous that UST is cutting back on academics and claiming that money must be moved elsewhere when there seems to be so much money for other things ... Please support UST\'s Environmental Studies Department and sign this petition so we can show UST that people care about this major and the environment!
