This petition is for parents, guardians and the community within the Central Valley School District.

I have offered Central Valley School District a donation of 4 LifeVac School Kits. Each kit contains 4 units. I am donating 1 kit per building for a total of 16 units.

This device is not a replacement for the Heimlich Maneuver. I believe everyone should learn it and retrain often. However, if current protocols fail in a choking emergency our schools have no other tool available. I believe, through experience, that the LifeVac is that tool. All they have to do is say yes.

On November 3, 2021, my son had a choking accident. Even though I was CPR/1st aid certified several times, and learned the Heimlich Maneuver, I needed the LifeVac to save his life. Our story has been featured on Fox and Friends, Inside Edition (Dec 2021) as well as WTAE Pittsburgh (March 2022). I did not include links as the video is distressing.

My ultimate goal is legislation to require an airway clearance device be in all schools. I am working toward this goal with a non-profit called Equal First Aid, that advocates for people with disabilities, as well as families who have lost their children in choking accidents where current protocols failed. My current goal, with his campaign, is to raise awareness for this device as well as protect my community.

Most of my family, friends and classmates still reside in and/or their children go to this district. That is why I chose Central Valley to be the 1st school in Beaver County to be equipped with this lifesaving device. Your children are worth it. 1 child dies every 5 days in the United States from choking. We can change those statistics! I'm determined to! My child isn't part of that statistic thanks to LifeVac. Please help me protect our children by signing this petition.
