"We support the research of, and eventual creation of, a new subcategory of zoning called "Urban Agricultural" that would allow for emerging best practices in urban ag to develop throughout Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia. All residents of the CSRA who value local food are encouraged to sign.”

I have been meeting with city planners to push for this new zoning subcategory. Please email your district representative today to demand that urban agriculture becomes a priority in our land use policy.

It would be a shame in so many ways if this teaching center, community pillar, and leading example in the community were taken away needlessly by badly applied and outdated laws. Shutting down a farm like this has no upside, while it has multiple and obvious downsides for the community and its future growth.

Urban agriculture is a necessity. It can combat several effects of poverty. It gives us more control of and appreciation for food.

Rezoning makes sense! Urban Grange is a successful small business in Richmond County. It is wise to model good, sustainable business practices as well as modeling healthier, sustainable living. Please do the right thing and WELCOME Urban Grange to Augusta!

Science is showing the value of plant based eating in the stabilization and reversal of chronic diseases. The freshest, cleanest foods can provide needed nutrition to the local people. Access and relationships to growers encourage plant intake. It also allows the local youth to grow up around this valuable resource.

This place is wonderful! My children and I learned so many aspects about the farm from visiting Urban Grange. It would be a great loss to the community.

Cities build resiliency by having close food supply - and its time to eliminate the barriers that keep farmers from being able to do it. I stand with Urban Grange!

Urban ag has been demonstrated to improve health and environmental outcomes. It's been linked to a reduction in crime and food insecurity. There's no reason to oppose it.
