The administration has officially canceled the planned rent hikes for our community. This reversal confirms that our collective presence in the housing office carried the weight we hoped it would. I am grateful to the 132 households who trusted this process and remained firm in advocating for our shared stability.

The stories you have shared regarding the rent increases reflect the heavy burden many families are carrying right now. I am compiling these accounts into a formal document to present to the housing administration. Your willingness to include your unit numbers provides the necessary weight to prove that these financial changes are unsustainable.

Ridiculous. We came here because it was supposed to be affordable for families. My unit is 12b and this is just gonna force us to move out.
