The school administration has officially repealed the policy requiring toilet passes during instructional hours. I appreciate the commitment shown by the 185 people who supported this request for basic student dignity. We will monitor the bathroom access situation to ensure that this change remains in effect.
School has blocked students from using toilets during lessons unless a toilet pass is acquired. This is inhumane and not thought through when it comes to emergencies where students wouldn't have time to wait for a card to unblock the toilets.
The momentum surrounding this petition confirms that many families share our concerns regarding the current bathroom policies. It is encouraging to see this level of consensus building as we prepare to present our position to the administration.

It is a disgrace that students aren’t allowed to use the toilets. This is a place of education where kids should enjoy themselves, not a prison

Tlhe school said the protest was a breach of the schools behaviour policy but what they are doing is a breach of basic human needs and rights

I think they should unblock the toilet because many girls are NOT being given toilet passes when on they're on their period, which could end in them bleeding through there bottoms or bleeding on the teachers seats. I say the protest is a good idea and they SHOULD unblock the toilets.

Im an ex pupil an there has always been ongoing issues with people being denied access to use the toliet . It is a human right to use the toliet , parkside students should carry on protesting until they are heard. Teachers can protest for better pay checks but when students protest for basic human rights they are punished totally disguisting yet teachers go toliet whenever they please

Toilets should not be locked to prevent use. There are more appropriate means of preventing vandalism and truancy in the toilets than just locking them.
