  1. As we know, the lunch breaks and toilet availability is atrocious at gateway academy... Children are often coming home hungry as there's not enough time to queue, eat and use the bathroom when they need it they have to decide which one is more important at the time which is unacceptable. The school has so many pupils and not enough time for their breaks. The breaks need to be extended and/or broken up into year groups.

Children are fighting for time to use the bathroom as they're locked during class and at the end of the day meaning children are holding it in for hours until they get home, this is a health risk and can cause infections as we all know. We the parents and pupils of Gateway call on those in charge to make a change, if you have a school with that many pupils you should have a solid plan for lunch that doesn't negatively impact our children. Toilets should be unlocked for children to use at the end of the day if they need instead of walking home busting to go.

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with the school administration next week. I am currently finalizing a document that details the specific logistical failures of the current break schedule to present during that sit down. We are now pivoting from gathering interest to executing a structured pressure campaign.

My child wet himself during the school day as he didn't have time to use the bathroom and his teacher didn't let him go. The school didn't care just gave him jogging bottoms. Disgusting.

Think about the health of our children constant holding the bladder can have a negative effect on their health and the lunch time issues will contribute to bad eating habits this needs to stop

Please change the lunch times back so not all eating at once as they don’t have enough time to eat and go to the loo. So many times girls have come home not eaten due to not having the time to do both and long ques !

The school has always treated the pupils this way and don't think anything is wrong doing so . Pupils should not be made to hold their toilet and risk infection , which ends up the pupil not being able to attend, then the school moans about attendance rates when in theory the school causes the issue in the first place.

My daughter has got upset in class many times as she has been in so much pain trying to hold it and also after school coming out in agony as toilet’s are locked . When I spoke to the office about a toilet pass I was told my daughter could not have one and she would get used to it after a couple of weeks , what a joke .

I go to this school and its so annoying a utterly ridiculous that we need to wait for a teacher to take us to the bathroom or the teachers say no becasue they "dont have enough time" and the lunch quese are really nad how elders push through to get the food first
