Let me tell you about my Child Studies lesson. I whip out my phone because there's important images on there for my project. I can access Facebook through my phone, so like I usually do, I post them privately with the intention to download them to my laptop. But wait...Facebook is blocked. I spent the whole lesson procrastinating because I literally couldn't do the work I needed to do. Procrastinating aside, Facebook is a brilliant way to obtain valuable sources for projects. Please reconsider.
THIS IS SERIOUS! Some people don't have phone or have nothing to do at recess and lucnch or would like to contact parents. We spend most of our life at school and now we get to send 0% of it on Facebook. Yeah it's not good during class but some people still need it.
Some people need Facebook to contact parents if they don't have a phone or leave there's at home (lol me) AND NETFLIX TO PLEASE!
Facebook is s great source of information straight to the students brain without having to pissfart around.
This is not okay. Facebook is a form of contact and needs to be brought back. It's our choice how we want to do at school so we should be allowed to do what we like with the internet that we (our parents) pay for!!!

I agree with the school for blocking facebook as a site. It was an issue. However they have blocked it through blocking the word. This means any site with any link to facebook (e.g. a newspaper that says "Sign up to the newsletter with facebook") has been blocked. So many legitimate research sites have the word "facebook" on them, that it's inhibiting our ability to do the work given to us. This is more detrimental then advantageous to students and teachers alike.
