WE ACTUALLY DID IT AND THE EXTRA BUS IS OFFICIALLY HAPPENING!! I AM BEYOND EXCITED THAT OUR TRAVEL TROUBLES ARE FINALLY OVER AND I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR EVERYONE WHO HELPED PUSH THIS ACROSS THE FINISH LINE!! KEEP A SHARP EYE OUT FOR THE NEW SCHEDULE POSTED AT THE STOPS …
UB1 bus tunes are awfully suited to students based in further campuses such as Mouslecoomb and Grand Parade, the only bus suited for 9am lectures in Grand Parade drops students into the town centre almost an hour earlier than needed, as a student on a budget we can’t always afford to go to a coffee shop or get a drink whilst waiting.

the service is never on time and is rubbish, not reliable due to its limited service and ease of access. i have to walk quite a bit to the stop from my campus (mithras house) and by the time i finish my lectures/seminars the bus is already at the moulsecoomb stop so i’m either having to pay extra money for a different bus or waiting 1hr 10 minutes for the next bus. doubling the frequency of the service, extending the times or atleast serving more stops closer to each campus (mithras house, edward street etc) would make life so much easier.

I can’t get the bus to uni in the mornings and have to walk 30-40 minutes. Not ideal when it is still dark as I don’t always feel safe so it puts me off going to my lectures

Please, I’ve had to miss lectures because the bus has arrived at varley 20 minutes late only to be full, and the next bus isn’t for an hour

Today I was a the bus stop with no shelter in the pouring rain for an hour and half until I eventually gave up and got a public bus as the paper in my bag that had all of my uni work for the day was ruin and there was basically no point in me going in in the first place. I can’t afford a bus pass so please fix this.

If the UB1 bus is full up, we have no choice but to be late to lectures as the public buses are all full of Sussex students
