The students of UNH living at the cottages are faced with a daily issue with the bus routes. The buses are irregular and unreliable and often leave students stranded without an alternative way of getting to campus. We are often faced with making a decision on whether to arrive 20 minutes early to a class or 10 minutes late, time that some of us cannot afford. With the foot traffic around campus, the predicted arrival times are often way off and cause unforeseen issues to arise. If there were two buses on the route, it would take away a great amount of stress from the students, who are already burdened by the mental toll classes can take on an individual. It would give students a back up plan if they were to miss the bus the first time around. The Cottages Connector has the longest route of all the off campus housing, yet the West Edge Express has two buses running. Sometimes both West Edge Express buses can pass through a single stop before the Cottages Connector arrives. This situation is a daily struggle that could easily be solved by reallocation of transit resources. This would greatly benefit the students of UNH living at the cottages.
